Chief Radiography Officer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chief Radiography Officer to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our radiography department, you will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high-quality imaging services to our patients.
Main Responsibilities:- Patient Care: Ensure the quality of patient care and radiographic services in the CMR unit, maintaining high standards of patient safety and well-being.
- MR Safety: Be responsible for MR safety within the CMR department, ensuring compliance with national and local regulations.
- Policy Development: Maintain, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures for the CMR scanning department, formulating and implementing departmental policies and procedures.
- Service Development: Manage changes within the CMR unit, both physical and procedural, and be involved in the implementation of service developments for the CMR unit.
- People Management: Co-ordinate staffing within the CMR department, ensuring adequate staffing and skill mix to safely manage the four MRI scanners.
- Communication: Train radiographers and undergraduate radiographers in the use of MRI scanning equipment and CMR scanning techniques and procedures, ensuring effective communication with patients and staff.
- Resource Management: Be responsible for the maintenance and safe operation of equipment in the CMR unit, ensuring compliance with statutory safety regulations.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in radiography, with experience in leading teams and managing resources. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and external partners.
