Radiography Department Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent Radiographer to lead our General X-ray department at Great Ormond Street Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring high-quality patient care and delivering exceptional imaging services.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of radiographers, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care and imaging services.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize departmental efficiency, quality, and patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient flow and effective communication.
- Monitor and manage waiting lists, ensuring compliance with government guidelines and minimizing delays.
- Provide professional line management to radiographic staff, including performance management, training, and development.
- Undertake clinical imaging duties, maintaining high standards of patient care and imaging quality.
- Substantial experience in diagnostic imaging, with a strong background in paediatric radiography.
- Leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing teams and driving departmental improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of clinical governance, quality assurance, and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Experience of teaching and supervising junior diagnostic imaging professionals.
- Understanding of diverse backgrounds and perspectives, with a commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity.
