Job Summary


The District Nursing Team Manager will lead a District Nursing Team in delivering cost-effective, efficient and appropriate high-quality patient care. They will ensure the continuing responsibility for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care needs and quality assurance.


They will promote evidence-based practice, act as an accountable role model and ensure that team members adhere to the NMC Professional Code of Conduct.


Main Duties


The post holder will line manage a nursing team, ensuring professional and clinical development of team members. They will promote a healthy work-life balance and provide occupational health support.


They will also develop and invest in staff to improve patient outcomes and contribute to the development of the Clinical Futures strategy.


Requirements


The ideal candidate will have previous management experience and hold relevant qualifications, such as SPQ. They should be knowledgeable practitioners who are passionate about imparting knowledge and leading the way in delivering care in the new NHS landscape.


Knowledge of Welsh language is desirable, but not essential.
