Technical Services Manager

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Technical Services Manager to join our team in Sheffield. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining a robust quality assurance program, ensuring product safety, legality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a comprehensive product risk assessment of each product and supply chain, considering known, emerging, and potential issues.
  • Act as the primary technical contact and approver for our suppliers of food ingredients, components, or finished goods, and related service providers.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring quality and safety standards.
  • Create and maintain accurate product specifications.
  • Manage customer documentation and packaging waste compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date on food safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with labelling, nutritional, allergen requirements, and manage regulatory approvals.
  • Conduct internal audits and supplier assessments to maintain compliance.
  • Investigate and resolve product quality issues and complaints.
  • Establish and maintain a robust food safety management system in compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Degree/HND level or equivalent in food science, food technology, or related subject OR experience working in a food industry technical or QA role.
  • Qualifications including Food Hygiene, HACCP, Food Safety, etc. are desirable.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
