Technical Services Manager - Air Conditioning

As a Technical Services Manager - Air Conditioning, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Gleeson, a fast-growing national home builder. You will lead a highly talented team and work closely with the Technical Director, the Technical & Commercial team, and the wider business to manage and coordinate all aspects of architectural, engineering, and design/planning activities in the region.

As a member of the Regional senior leadership team, you will take a 'whole company' perspective to the performance of Building Homes. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the evaluation and appraisal of development opportunities and provide information required to purchase land.
  2. Advise on and secure planning approvals, delivering and reporting as per Group policies and processes to meet the Region's business plan.
  3. Manage external planning, architectural, and engineering consultants to ensure that all design information is received, coordinated, and distributed on time and within budget.
  4. Progress initial communications with technical specialist suppliers and contractors, e.g., piling and supporting procurement department through the procurement process.
  5. Provide the RMD and Land Director with operational and tactical planning reports and assessments, presenting clear and reasoned planning advice in terms of potential risks/opportunities and likely planning gain requirements.
Requirements:
  1. A relevant qualification and/or broad experience in Technical/planning with an Engineering focus.
  2. Good strong knowledge of the full development/Technical process/Commercial awareness.
  3. Broad knowledge of the legal frameworks associated with planning management and development procurement.
  4. Previous experience as either a project or discipline manager within a development organization.
  5. Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements.
  6. Technically competent in using AutoCAD.
