Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker Role

Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at SuperCare Residential. In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children and young people.

You will work closely with our young people, their families, social workers, and other organizations to ensure everyone's needs are addressed, supporting them as they transition to adulthood and greater independence.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Direct Work with Young People: You will provide day-to-day care and support to our young people on a shift work basis, building strong relationships and trust.
  • Key Working and Partnership: You will work in partnership with young people, their social worker, carers, and other relevant agencies to ensure their needs are met.
  • Care Planning and Coordination: You will coordinate, monitor, and review Care Plans for all allocated young people preparing to transition to adulthood and greater independence.
  • Health and Safety: You will take responsibility for the upkeep of the establishment, ensuring health and safety standards are met, and making autonomous decisions about individual young people's requests and behavior.
  • Empowering Young People: You will support young people in taking control of their lives, keeping them informed of their circumstances and rights, involving them in planning, and helping them towards greater responsibility.
  • Safeguarding: You will respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and report them effectively.
  • Daily Needs: You will attend to the day-to-day needs of our young people, which includes bathing, feeding, cooking, and caring for the fabric, equipment, and environment.

Personal Qualities:

  • Role Modeling: You will act as a positive role model and guide for our young people, setting principles and examples.
  • Professional Supervision: You will utilize regular professional supervision to ensure you are performing at your best.
  • Flexibility: You will work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, on a rota basis as required.

Salary: £27,500 - £37,500 per annum
