About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Project Worker to join our Support Delivery Team at Rebuild East Midlands. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering trauma-informed support to individuals affected by modern slavery, human trafficking, and exploitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals in developing personalized support plans to build resilience and improve wellbeing.
  • Provide direct work with individuals, including home visits, one-to-one activities, and support to attend other agencies as required.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with other agencies, including social services, mental health services, and community organizations.
  • Promote the organization's group activities to individuals and encourage participation to foster social connection and belonging.
  • Support the planning and facilitation of group activity sessions and events.
  • Work in a needs-led, strength-based approach to partner with individuals to develop support plans and connect them with community resources.
  • Network and build partnerships with local organizations and professionals to enhance the work of the organization in the community.
  • Provide mental health first aid to mitigate the aftereffects of trauma caused by exploitation.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year's previous experience in a support setting.
  • Preferred experience of working with individuals affected by abuse, trafficking, homelessness, mental health, complex needs, offenders, and/or refugees.
  • Awareness of Trauma Informed Practice.
  • Proven knowledge of working with community organizations and signposting to different services.
  • Ability to advocate for the needs of those we work with.
  • Proven experience of carrying out needs and/or risk assessments and the support planning process.
  • An empathetic and compassionate outlook, while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • The ability to develop and maintain good professional relationships.
  • Able to react effectively to highly pressured situations.
  • Strong communication skills with proven writing ability.
  • Good people skills, especially with those for whom English is not the first language.
  • Proven knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures relating to adults and children and young people.
  • Valid employment rights to work in the UK.
