Clinical Homecare Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate NMC registered nurse to join our healthcare team in the Yeovil area. As a Clinical Homecare Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and administering a range of medications in various settings, including clinics, residential accommodations, and patients' own homes.

About the Role

This is a part-time position, requiring 22.5 hours per week over 3 full days (preferably Wednesday/Thursday/Friday). You will work independently and as part of a team to provide safe and effective care to patients, promoting their independence and convenience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient observations and ensure patients are fit to proceed with their treatment
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the medical team
  • Provide compassionate support to patients and their families
  • Educate patients and their families to promote understanding and independence
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety is paramount
Requirements
  • Full NMC registration
  • Excellent cannulation/phlebotomy skills
  • Experience in standard and complex infusion therapies
  • Commitment to maintain professional development
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Full UK driving license
  • Willingness to travel to meet the needs of the services provided
  • Chemotherapy/SACT experience is an advantage, but training will be provided

  • Starting salary circa £36,000 pro rata (depending on experience)
