We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Inspire CAMHS inpatient unit. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide senior medical input and leadership to the unit, working closely with our clinical and administrative staff to deliver high-quality care to young people with complex mental health needs.
Main Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring that young people receive timely and appropriate assessment and intervention.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that are tailored to the individual needs of each young person, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and families.
- Participate in the training and education of junior staff, including medical students and junior doctors, to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality care.
- Contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring that they are evidence-based and aligned with best practice.
- Engage with local communities and stakeholders to promote the work of the unit and improve access to mental health services for young people.
- Full registration with the GMC and inclusion on the GMC's Specialist Register or Specialty Trainees within 6 months of completing their CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Excellent clinical skills, using a bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Able to deliver undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and training.
- Experienced in clinical research and/or service evaluation.
