Job Requirements

Evidence of basic literacy and numeracy skills is essential to enable effective communication with staff and pupils. The jobholder must be familiar with child development and able to respond to individual special needs pupils.

Previous experience of working in this field, supporting clients with special needs, administering medication, and providing personal care is essential.

Certificates in manual handling, food hygiene, and basic emergency first aid are also required.

The jobholder will be required to undertake additional training courses, such as Move, Calm, and on-going training provided by the Therapist for individual pupils.

Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 8.10

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007.

Successful candidates will require PVG Scheme membership for Regulated Work with Children.
