MPD Lead Repair and Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MPD Lead Repair and Maintenance Technician to join our team at NOV Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for our MPD operations and all associated MPD tasks in the preparation, execution, and end of well maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for MPD operations and all associated MPD tasks
  • Calibration, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of MPD equipment
  • Operate multi-meters and signal generators needed to setup, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation
  • Assist MPD Field Service Supervisor in all tasks at the wellsite
  • Understand of the fundamentals of drilling systems and process
  • Interface with controls engineer in downloading, uploading, and troubleshooting software in PLCs

Requirements:

  • HNC in Mechanical Engineering or have completed a time-served Mechanical apprenticeship
  • Working experience in a workshop environment
  • Knowledge in repair and maintenance of valves and pipework
  • Preferred experience in Managed Pressure Drilling
  • Previous knowledge of using JDE is preferable
