Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled MPD Lead Repair and Maintenance Technician to join our team at NOV Inc. in Portlethen. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for supporting and servicing all products within our Managed Pressure Drilling business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for MPD operations and tasks, including preparation, execution, and end-of-well maintenance.
  • Calibrate, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot MPD systems, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.
  • Operate multi-meters and signal generators to set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation.
  • Assist the MPD Field Service Supervisor in all tasks at the wellsite.
  • Interface with controls engineers to download, upload, and troubleshoot software in PLCs.

Requirements:

  • HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Working experience in a workshop environment.
  • Knowledge of repair and maintenance of valves and pipework.
  • Preferred experience in Managed Pressure Drilling.
  • Previous knowledge of using JDE is an asset.
