About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MPD Lead Repair and Maintenance Technician to join our team at NOV Inc. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for supporting and servicing all products within our Managed Pressure Drilling business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for MPD operations and all associated tasks in the preparation, execution, and end of well maintenance.
  • Calibrate, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot equipment, including system rig up and rig down.
  • Operate multi-meters and signal generators to setup, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation.
  • Assist the MPD Field Service Supervisor in all tasks at the wellsite.
  • Interface with controls engineers to download, upload, and troubleshoot software in PLCs.
  • Participate in the knowledge management system within the segment, keeping up with the continuous improvement culture.

Requirements:

  • HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a time-served Mechanical apprenticeship.
  • Working experience in a workshop environment.
  • Knowledge in repair and maintenance of valves and pipework.
  • Preferred experience in Managed Pressure Drilling.
  • Previous knowledge of using JDE is preferable.
