Senior Financial Accountant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Qualified Accountant to join our client's team. As a Qualified Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records for a portfolio of clients and overseeing the workload of the practice team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct client meetings, both virtual and face-to-face.
* Provide complex tax advice to clients.
* Prepare and complete annual accounts.
* Review and sign off work completed by other members of the accounting team.
* Deal with complaints and complex client issues.
* Handle HMRC audits and investigations.
* Monitor and analyse data related to KPIs.
* Attend management meetings when required.
* Foster collaboration within the team to achieve the organisation's goals.
* Act as an ambassador for the organisation and support its objectives and themes.
* Commit to continuous professional development and share knowledge with colleagues to help future-proof the organisation.
Requirements:
* ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
* Experience with cloud accounting software (FreeAgent, QuickBooks, Xero).
* Proven background in accounting and managing client portfolios.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Word and Excel.
* Extensive knowledge of accounting and taxation principles.
* Advanced understanding of income tax, corporation tax, VAT, and PAYE.
* Problem-solving abilities and a commitment to delivering professional and accurate service.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong time management skills to meet deadlines.
* Previous team management experience.
* Client-focused attitude with commercial awareness.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
* Knowledge of capital gains and inheritance tax.
* Experience with HMRC audit and investigations.
* Previous performance management experience.
Note: Other additional duties may be required as reasonably necessary for the role.
