Role

Forbes Solicitors is seeking a highly motivated and commercially astute Business Development Assistant/Coordinator to support our teams and sectors across the firm. This is a full-time role working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based at our Gordon House office, with the option for hybrid working available.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in Marketing and Business Development looking for the next step in their career to work in a collaborative and professional team. Whilst the role will be working to the fast-paced, customer-focused and high standards of a law firm, the role will also provide a sustainable work-life balance and relate to the regional area in which it is based.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting with producing proposals, capability documents and assisting with tenders to support in the winning of new clients/retention of existing clients;
  • Supporting with pulling together research on potential new targets and opportunities to help drive growth across all teams;
  • Supporting with organising targeted business development events, training sessions and hospitality;
  • Logging and monitoring of external referrals to manage reciprocity;
  • Sending out relevant networking events internally and managing the bookings;
  • Updating our case management system with information such as dormant clients to ensure our data is accurate;
  • Supporting on Business Development projects as and when required.

Requirements
  • 5 GCSE's at Grades C/4 or above (or equivalent);
  • 3 - A Levels at grade C and above (or equivalent, i.e. BTEC)
  • Relevant professional qualification, such as a Marketing/Business Degree; (Desirable)
  • Evidence of organisational skills and able to deliver to competing customer deadlines;
  • Evidence of effective communication skills in a variety of methods to a range of stakeholders and audiences;
  • Experience of working with multiple stakeholders;
  • Highly organised, with good attention to detail;
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems, Microsoft Office, word, excel;
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team;
  • Have an interest in long term development/progression in the department;
