About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Event Sous Chef to join our team at Host Staffing. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for assisting the Event Chef in the planning and execution of events, ensuring that all culinary aspects are executed to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Event Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Oversee the setup and breakdown of events, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are in good working order.
  • Manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are met, and that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
  • Collaborate with the events team to ensure that all events are executed to the highest standard, and that client expectations are met.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in event catering, preferably with off-site event prep.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
