About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team at Nationwide Building Society. As a key member of our Financial Crime Analytics team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data.

As a Data Governance Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our data governance framework, ensuring that our data is well-organized, secure, and compliant with regulatory requirements. You will work closely with our data stakeholders to identify and address data quality issues, and develop and implement data controls to prevent data breaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain our data governance framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement data controls to prevent data breaches and ensure data quality
  • Work closely with data stakeholders to identify and address data quality issues
  • Collaborate with our data team to develop and implement data management processes
  • Provide training and support to data users on data governance and data quality best practices
Requirements
  • Proven experience in data governance and data quality
  • Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks and industry best practices
  • Experience with data management tools and technologies, including SAS and SQL
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with data stakeholders
