About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Sustainability Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will play a vital role in supporting our national sustainability initiatives and animal welfare programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of national sustainability and animal welfare strategies and policies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including farmers, NGOs, and industry groups.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform sustainability and animal welfare initiatives.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to colleagues and stakeholders on sustainability and animal welfare matters.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in sustainability and animal welfare, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of livestock farming, farmed animal welfare, and environmental impact of agriculture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
