**Michael Page** is seeking a strategic and forward-thinking **Financial Controller** to lead a successful accounting & finance team within the manufacturing industry.

About the Role

The Financial Controller will be responsible for:

  1. Leading, developing and motivating the finance team to drive business growth and improve financial stability.
  2. Managing the management accounting systems to provide up-to-date, timely and relevant information to operational managers, enabling them to make informed decisions.
  3. Maintaining accounting records in line with statutory requirements and ensuring compliance with Financial Reporting Standards, while minimizing financial risk.
  4. Authorising statutory returns and payment of tax amounts due, ensuring compliance with tax legislation and avoiding any potential penalties.
  5. Providing financial reporting to operational managers to enable them to run their departments more effectively, making data-driven decisions.
Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
  • Circa 5 years PQE or more, with experience in a similar role in the manufacturing and production or related industry.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
What We Offer

We are offering a competitive salary range of £70,000 - £80,000 per annum, a comprehensive benefits package including a discretionary bonus scheme, and hybrid working arrangements (3 days in the office, 2 from home).
