Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Transversals Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems - UK. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing specialist knowledge and subject matter expertise in the development of Submarine systems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Define the systems architecture, components, interfaces, and data to enable the development and production of the component sub-systems.
  2. Ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive, captured within the requirements management tools, and endorsed by the appropriate level of authority.
  3. Support the flow-down of requirements to suppliers and acceptance of their specific deliverables, ensuring it is captured and recorded appropriately.
  4. Provide Transversal support to integrated performance and acceptance activities, including acceptance of equipment from suppliers through to system acceptance by the customer.
  5. Provide Transversal guidance to other engineers and support the engineering management team in defining requirements and influencing system design.

Requirements

  1. Previous experience in Engineering or Systems design.
  2. Previous exposure to large complex projects and/or operations.
  3. Knowledge of DOORS.
