Mental Health Support Worker Role in Stockport

Care In Mind is a leading provider of residential services for young people aged 16-30 years old, offering a supportive and therapeutic environment to help them achieve their individual goals. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in promoting independence, education, and life skills among our residents.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Previous experience in care is not essential, as full training will be provided. However, having worked with young people who have mental health needs or possessing an NVQ in care would be beneficial.
Key responsibilities include updating online care records, administering medication, and maintaining a safe and homely environment. You will also support residents in improving their relationships with food, managing incidents of self-harm, and preparing for transition into the community. This may involve supporting them to self-administer medication, accessing public transport, and attending appointments independently.
We offer a competitive salary of £23,400 - £24,433.50 per annum (pro rata for part-time hours), plus excellent benefits including:
