Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Light Goods Vehicle Driver to join our team in Central London. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of materials, equipment, and personnel to project sites and other designated locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safe Transportation: Safely operate light goods vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and personnel to and from project sites, suppliers, and other designated locations.
  • Traffic Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring the safety of passengers and cargo at all times.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment as needed, ensuring proper securing and handling.
  • Vehicle Presentation: Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles, ensuring they are presentable and well-maintained at all times.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure timely and efficient transportation logistics.
  • Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities.
  • Professional Representation: Represent UCC Holdings professionally when interacting with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience as a light goods vehicle driver in the Central London area.
  • Traffic Knowledge: Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
  • Safe Driving: Ability to operate light goods vehicles safely and responsibly.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
