In a Nutshell

As a key member of our Restaurant Camellia team, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, bar, and lounge. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Role Responsibilities

Key Areas of Focus

  • Support the Restaurant, Bar, and Lounge teams in achieving operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with Food and Beverage Outlet Managers/Assistant Managers to optimize opportunities and exceed budgeted targets.
  • Step in for Assistant Managers in their absence, ensuring seamless service, resourcing, and product offerings.
  • Work closely with the team to evaluate, train, and improve the guest experience.
  • Maintain the cellar, ensuring all beverage lines are stocked to agreed par levels and business demands.
  • Provide administrative support to the F&B outlets, ensuring smooth departmental operations.
  • Contribute to the learning and development of F&B team members.
  • Work with Outlet Managers and other Assistant Managers to establish and maintain effective employee relations across departments.
  • Proactively address guest feedback and direct the team accordingly.
  • Be adaptable and take on new small projects with the support of the Food and Beverage Manager, ensuring timely implementation.
  • Assist F&B outlets in creating and executing plans for department sales, profit, and staff development.
  • Support the implementation of table plans to maximize dining area covers.
  • Stay informed about business trends, systems, and practices within the food and beverage industry to drive departmental improvement.
  • Take on Duty Manager shifts and conduct them in line with guidelines.
  • Engage regularly on Hubbub (our internal communication platform) to share positive F&B updates and Extra Miler moments.

The Ideal Candidate

What We're Looking For

  • A strong background in restaurant and beverage service, preferably in a hotel or venue sector, minimum 4-star standard.
  • Commercial acumen and financial awareness.
  • Level 2 WSET training is highly desirable.
  • A good understanding of cellar management and stock control.
  • A passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to supervise team members.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, listening, and writing.
  • Effective time management and multitasking abilities.
