Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely Operate Hooklift Vehicles: Safely operate hooklift vehicles to collect and transport recycling containers.
  • Deliver Materials: Deliver materials to and from various recycling facilities and client sites.
  • Ensure Safety: Ensure loads are properly secured and comply with safety standards.
  • Vehicle Checks: Conduct daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the recycling team to maintain high operational efficiency.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements:

  • Valid Licence: Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
  • CPC Certificate: Current CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence).
  • Tacho Card: Valid tacho card.
  • Experience: Previous experience operating hooklift vehicles is essential.
  • Health and Safety: Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of Edinburgh's road network and surrounding areas.
  • Attitude: A positive attitude and ability to work independently.
