Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise a team of Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors, and Caseworkers
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team
  • Assist with the delivery of training and development programs
  • Deal with a range of Immigration work, including detained clients, victims of trafficking and torture, asylum work, and entry clearance applications
  • Prepare and manage funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency
  • Prepare draft documents, including witness statements and processing evidence
  • Attend conferences and court
Requirements
  • Registered with the Law Society Immigration Accreditation Level 2
  • Valid Practicing Certificate
  • Strong management skills
  • Excellent client care skills and ability to deal with vulnerable client matters
  • Excellent networking and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of publically funded Immigration work and ability to service privately funded cases
