About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Care Specialist to join our Positive Behavioural Support Team at Chester-le-Street. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and knowledgeable team, providing support to young people and adults with complex challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities

  • To implement positive behaviour support plans and interventions as recommended by our Positive Behavioural Support Specialist team.
  • To provide support to individuals accessing our services, enabling them to reach their full potential based on the principles of normalisation and informed choice.
  • To work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement areas of activity, supervision, care, support, and training for individuals accessing our services.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We require a proven track record of care or support experience, either in a professional or personal capacity. The ideal candidate will possess key attributes such as being naturally caring, patient, and understanding, with experience in supporting people with behaviours that challenge.

Qualifications

4 GCSE (A-C grades) or NVQ/Diploma level 2 or equivalent is required.

Salary

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
