About Us: County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust is a leading healthcare provider in the region. We are seeking an experienced Spiritual Care Specialist to join our team.
Salary: £43,141 - £72,619 per annum
Job Description: The successful candidate will have substantial experience in hospital and community-based ministry settings, with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage their workload while being responsible to the senior chaplain. Key responsibilities include offering pastoral, spiritual, and religious care to patients, carers, and staff on wards and in departments across the trust. They will also apply an in-depth understanding of the bereavement process and work sensitively with patients, carers, and staff facing life-changing events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality spiritual care to patients, carers, and staff.
- Apply expertise in bereavement support and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Conduct services of baptism, blessing, and dedication of babies in maternity units.
Requirements:
- Substantial experience in hospital and community-based ministry settings.
- Extensive experience and demonstrable skills in pastoral care.
- Knowledge of Equality and Diversity issues.
