We are seeking a qualified and resourceful Health and Social Care Teacher to teach at a stimulating and supportive mixed non-selective 11-18 Foundation School in Ramsgate, Kent. This successful school is arranged into two sites.

The lower site focuses on building the knowledge and skills gained at Primary School. We welcome applications from inspirational Early Career Teachers and experienced teachers looking for a new challenge.

This role involves:

  • Safeguarding pupils' well-being following statutory provisions
  • Setting high expectations that inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
  • Planning and teaching well-structured differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum and the school's curriculum policy
  • Giving pupils regular feedback and encouraging them to respond to it
  • Managing behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment following the school's behaviour policy
  • Improving teaching through appropriate professional development, responding to advice and feedback from colleagues
  • Communicating effectively with parents and other professionals about pupils' achievements and well-being

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Child DBS check on the Update Service or willing to pay and apply for a new one
  • Read the DfE 'Keeping Children Safe in Education' document

The salary range for this position is estimated to be £130-£220 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
