Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Adult Psychiatrist to join our team at the Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for conducting assessments and treatments of mental health conditions under secondary mental health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • To conduct comprehensive assessments and provide evidence-based treatments for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • To manage, appraise, and provide professional supervision to junior medical staff, ensuring their continued development and growth.
  • To participate in service planning and contribute to business planning for the locality, focusing on improving patient outcomes and experience.
  • To work collaboratively with local managers and colleagues to ensure efficient services and share expertise in medical leadership.
  • To engage in ongoing professional development, including lectures and seminars as part of the internal CPD program.

Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Excellent knowledge in the specialty of Adult Psychiatry.
  • Proven clinical skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

  • A competitive salary of £110,000 - £140,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
