Role Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Pastoral Assistant to support the well-being and personal development of our students. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one mentoring and support to students with SEMH needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being.
  • Facilitate group sessions and workshops focused on social skills, emotional regulation, and resilience.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adapting support strategies as necessary.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school culture.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Patient, empathetic, and genuinely passionate about supporting young people.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, social work, or a related field (desirable).
