We are seeking a highly skilled New Product Development Chemist to join our professional Research & Development team based in Rochdale. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing new products and maintaining profitable new products to meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new products and maintain profitable new products to meet business requirements.
  • Work closely with other technicians, chemists, and project leaders on the formulation and research of new and existing products.
  • Apply scientific knowledge in problem-solving situations.
  • Provide updates of project progress and communicate regularly with project leaders.
  • Provide technical advice, guidance, and support in maintaining laboratory processes, equipment, and resolving customer issues.
  • Meet required Production, Quality, EHS, and Regulatory policies when formulating new products and maintaining existing products.
  • Ensure the Safety of Self and Others.

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemistry or related discipline.
  • Practical working knowledge in a relevant formulating laboratory environment, preferably Energy Curable Flexo inks.
  • Able to take ownership and responsibility of their work and think for themselves while being receptive to feedback to continuously improve the quality of the development.
  • Ability to devise test methods, analyze results, and disseminate them in a professional and effective way.
  • Strong team player.
  • Ambitious and willing to learn.
  • Hold a strong can-do attitude.
  • Proficient in the use of common productivity software applications.
