Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach Clinical Nursing, Anatomy and Physiology, or Dosage Calculation courses at TCAT-Shelbyville.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses on campus or at clinical sites as assigned.
  • Develop lesson plans and deliver instruction accordingly.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of industry trends and technological advances in the industry.
  • Utilize in-class assessment tools/techniques to measure student achievement of course competencies.
  • Utilize Banner to record and submit grades and attendance (tardiness and absences) daily.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing for Clinical Nursing Applicants.
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing or an Associate of Science Degree for A&P or Dosage Calculation Applicants.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • 3+ years of related work experience.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and to move about the teaching area to demonstrate and perform all occupational duties, with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships and to deal tactfully with students, faculty, staff, industry partners, and the public.

Benefits:

  • Hourly wage: $25 – 35 per hour, commensurate with experience and TBR/Tennessee College of Applied Technology salary guidelines.
  • Background checks will be completed on all new hires.
