About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional Full-Time Academic Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Key Stage 1, 2, 3, or 4 classes. As a valued member of our team, you will work closely with teachers to provide targeted support and enable students to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement tailored support plans for students with SEND
  • Provide one-to-one assistance to pupils with Autism, Speech, Language and Communication Needs, Learning Disabilities, SEMH, and Associated Behavioural Difficulties
  • Support classroom activities and contribute to a positive learning environment
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and parents

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with primary or secondary school-aged children
  • Knowledge of SEND policies and procedures
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
