Job Title: Senior CDM and H&S Consultant

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced CDM and H&S professional to join our team in Leeds. As a Senior Consultant, you'll be responsible for delivering CDM and H&S consultancy services to existing and new clients. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring consistent delivery of service excellence and meeting client needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand client needs and proactively identify solutions to their challenges.
  • Develop and implement effective CDM and H&S systems and processes to improve efficiency.
  • Provide expert advice and act as Principal Designer, helping clients manage and understand their legal responsibilities under CDM regulations.
  • Establish positive relationships with clients to gain confidence and become a trusted advocate.
  • Represent Turner & Townsend in a professional and diligent manner, meeting, negotiating, and corresponding with clients in a timely manner.
  • Manage all commissions, ensuring client expectations and Turner & Townsend's business management system are effectively discharged.
  • Carry out H&S performance reviews, audits, and other tasks on behalf of clients.
  • Liaise with SHQ and wider Turner & Townsend colleagues to contribute to team effectiveness and support others as needed.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to effectively plan and organise own workload to meet deadlines.
  • Good IT skills to generate reports and documents.
  • Solutions-driven and creative thinker.
  • Excellent client empathy.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience within the Construction Industry, specifically around the CDM Regulations.
  • Experience of a diverse range of industry sectors desired, with a proven ability to meet client needs.
  • Experience as a Principal Designer is highly desirable.
Education and Professional Qualifications
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • NEBOSH Diploma Level (or equivalent).
  • GradIOSH or equivalent.
  • Membership of the APS.
