Job Summary
Data Engineer (Cloud Computing Specialist) required to join a leading UK-based IT Services & IT Consulting organisation's AI and Data practice. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the deployment, optimization, and maintenance of Starburst installations allowing clients to access their data across various platforms.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and deployment of Trino/Starburst, configuration of servers, applications, and parameters, creating a unified data platform by integrating Starburst with other data sources, troubleshooting any issues related to servers, and providing root cause analysis. Additionally, they will provide Starburst administration and best practices training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deploy, optimize, and maintain Starburst installations
  • Manage and deploy Trino/Starburst
  • Configure servers, applications, and parameters
  • Create a unified data platform by integrating Starburst with other data sources
  • Troubleshoot server issues and provide root cause analysis
  • Provide Starburst administration and best practices training

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Big Data (Hadoop/Hive/Spark) and Cloud technologies, prior programming experience with Python or Java, Unix/Linux experience, and data requirements knowledge for AI. Estimated salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum based on location and experience.
