Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Kingdom People. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of electrical engineers to ensure proactive response to planned maintenance activity and breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Support Electrical Engineers: Collaborate with department leaders to ensure proactive response to planned maintenance activity and breakdowns.
  • Deliver Maintenance Services: Accountable for the delivery of the site's maintenance, including supporting the operations team to achieve compliance to the production plan.
  • Hands-on Role: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment, and demonstrate safe behavior and conform to all safe systems of work.
  • Support a Culture of Safety: Enhance awareness to reduce accidents and near misses, and carry out duties ensuring the site achieves and maintains required GMP standards.
  • Provide Cover and Support: Provide cover on a 6-2, alternating working pattern, and carry out project work as directed, including panel building.
  • First-Line Maintenance Support: Provide first-line maintenance support to the manufacturing departments, and line monitoring to improve efficiency.
  • Record and Report: Record planned maintenance tasks and breakdowns on the CMMS (Shire), and order spare parts and liaise with Engineering Stores.
  • Participate in Maintenance Activities: Participate in electrical and mechanical proactive and re-active maintenance to the best of your capability, and diagnose machine breakdowns and act accordingly.
  • Communicate and Escalate: Communicate and escalate accordingly when assistance is required, and carry out routine equipment safety and maintenance inspections.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure all work conforms to statutory and safety requirements, and ensure that plant and equipment perform to manufacture product efficiently to high-quality standards.
  • Liaise and Assist: Liaise, assist with training, and support other departments in the general running of the factory, and undertake the training of others as required for development and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Contribute to and help implement continuous improvement to enhance quality, safety, efficiency, and waste reduction, and participate in Continuous Improvement teams as required.
  • Communicate with Team Leaders and Managers: Communicate daily with Team Leaders and Managers to ensure project and planned maintenance, engineering, and production priorities are understood.
Requirements
  • Time-Served Engineering/Apprentice Trained: Time served in engineering or apprentice trained.
  • NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent: NVQ level 3 or equivalent within mechanical/electrical engineering.
  • 18th Edition Rules and Regulations: 18th edition rules and regulations would be advantageous.
