About the Role
We Are With You is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Young Persons Worker to join our team. As a Young Persons Worker, you will be working with young people who are experiencing difficulties with substance misuse, providing them with support, training, and education to help them navigate their challenges.
Main Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Supporting a caseload of young people with substance misuse issues
- Developing care plans and delivering treatments to meet the needs of each individual
- Working with young people to access their needs and provide them with the support and guidance they require
- Engaging with young people to provide them with the support, training, and education they need to better understand the implications of their situations and the decisions they make

Person Specification
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience of working with young people in a 1:1 or group setting
- Experience of working with young people with substance misuse and/or mental health difficulties
- Experience of supporting young people with difficulties they may face, such as homelessness or domestic abuse
- Excellent relationship building skills with a range of people from a wide variety of backgrounds
- The ability to work effectively on your own and as part of a team, sharing your skills, knowledge, and experience
- Good organisational skills to be able to manage your time effectively, prioritising your work and being able to cope with the pressure of competing demands
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including engaging delivery of presentations
- The ability to record and maintain accurate case details and in a timely manner
- Effective IT skills, able to use different packages and digital media
