Job Description

We're looking for a Bank Staff Member to join our team at Bright Horizons Winchester Day Nursery and Preschool. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the nursery, working closely with colleagues to deliver exceptional care and education to our children.

Responsibilities

  • Support nursery colleagues in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, engaging children in entertaining and educational play and activities
  • Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a safe, happy, and positive environment for all children and staff
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health, and safety, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the overall well-being and development of our children, fostering a love of learning and exploration

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children, although not essential – ideal skills and qualifications include teaching assistant, nanny, or childminder roles
  • A passion for creating engaging and fun learning experiences for each child
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to interact with children and adults alike
  • A solid understanding of child protection and safeguarding principles
  • The ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced environment
