Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join its bank staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in Dementia care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently within a team.

The role offers flexible working hours, allowing candidates to balance their work and home life. Our bank staff play a vital part in providing optimal care for patients with Dementia, and we are looking for individuals who share our commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing physical and emotional support to patients living with Dementia. You will work alongside the Admiral Nurse-led Dementia Team to ensure that all wards and departments are adequately staffed. Your main duties will include establishing effective communications, delivering person-centered care, and supporting patients' families and carers.

To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience in a Health or Health and Social Care setting, demonstrate current knowledge, and be able to identify your own learning needs. Essential criteria include literacy level 1 or equivalent, numeracy level 1 or equivalent, and ESOL Level 1 or equivalent (if English is not your first language). Desirable criteria include IT literacy, literacy level 2 or equivalent, numeracy level 2 or equivalent, and ESOL level 2 or equivalent in Health or Health and Social Care.
