We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Administrator to join our team at a GP practice in Stretford. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering excellent patient care through efficient administrative support.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, scheduling appointments, managing the appointment diary efficiently, answering phone calls and emails, maintaining patient records accurately, and ensuring confidentiality.

In addition, they will process patient registrations, insurance forms, and payments, assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry, and coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.


About the Opportunity:

This is a permanent full-time position available immediately. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running with a good working knowledge of Emis and previous experience working within a GP surgery.

They will also possess an excellent telephone manner and customer service skills, as well as strong organisational abilities with attention to detail and proficiency in using office software and electronic health records systems.

The successful candidate will be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work effectively as part of a team to deliver high-quality patient care.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Schedule appointments and manage the appointment diary efficiently
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries promptly and direct them to the appropriate personnel
  • Maintain patient records accurately and ensure confidentiality

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is advantageous
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational abilities with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in using office software and electronic health records systems

Estimated Salary:

The estimated salary for this role is £12.00 per hour +.
