Senior/Principal Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior/Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join our R&D team in the North East.

Our client is a leading manufacturer of complex electro-mechanical products and is investing heavily in R&D/product design.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in designing moving parts/mechanisms and experience in taking design projects from concept to manufacture.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing complex mechanical systems and products
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring designs from concept to reality
  • Developing and maintaining design standards and best practices
  • Leading and mentoring junior design engineers

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of modern 3D CAD packages and experience in innovation/creativity in product design.

We offer a competitive salary range of £50k to £70k basic + excellent benefits package.
