Senior/Principal Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior/Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join our R&D team in the North East. Our client is a leading manufacturer of complex electro-mechanical products and is investing heavily in R&D/product design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop complex mechanical systems and products from concept to manufacture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and creativity in product design.
  • Utilize modern 3D CAD packages to create detailed designs and models.
  • Work on design projects for new products, taking into account mechanical, software, and electronics aspects.
  • Contribute to the development of new technologies and processes to improve product design and manufacturing.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Senior/Principal Mechanical Design Engineer in a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, including moving parts and mechanisms.
  • Experience with 3D CAD packages and ability to create detailed designs and models.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
