Job Title: Health and Social Care Lecturer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lecturer in Health and Social Care to join our dynamic team at Teaching Personnel. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students, ensuring they develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the health and social care sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver engaging and effective teaching materials and lessons in Health and Social Care, incorporating current best practices and research.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback to students, monitoring their progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative teaching methods and course materials, staying up-to-date with industry developments and advancements.
  • Provide pastoral support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including industry professionals, to enhance the learning experience and provide opportunities for work placements or guest lectures.
Essential Requirements:
  • A relevant degree or professional qualification in Health and Social Care or a related field.
  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
  • Recent and relevant experience in Health and Social Care, either in a teaching or professional capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of current Health and Social Care practices, standards, and legislation.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to motivate and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
  • A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in education.
Desirable:
  • Experience in delivering BTEC, CACHE, or other vocational qualifications.
  • Knowledge of digital learning tools and a willingness to incorporate technology into teaching.
  • Previous experience working in a Further Education setting.
