Job Title: Safeguarding and Pastoral Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safeguarding and Pastoral Lead to join our specialist education provider in the Stevenage area of Hertfordshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading our safeguarding efforts and ensuring that our students receive the highest level of care and support.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £42,000 - £52,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you will also receive a range of benefits, including life assurance, a competitive pension scheme, and health cash back plan.

About the Role

  • This permanent, full-time position involves managing safeguarding referrals using the internal safeguarding system, ensuring policies and processes are followed.
  • The successful candidate will drive the improvement of behaviour and safeguarding practices across the site, ensuring compliance with statutory guidelines, CQC & Ofsted regulations.
  • You will oversee the effective implementation of the Attendance Policy and deliver safeguarding and behaviour training through staff CPD sessions.
  • You will ensure all compliance reports and audits are completed in partnership with the school business manager.
  • Communicate with parents, staff, local authorities, and other agencies regarding student progress and support strategies.
