Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and distribute workload effectively to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Coordinate the movement of plant machinery, ensuring that orders are placed and delivered efficiently.
  • Manage driver holidays and absence records accurately.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Transport, Depot Manager, and Transport Manager to raise orders, parts, and labor with local suppliers.
  • Support vehicle inspections and compliance events with the Transport Manager.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across the department.
  • Identify and report departmental savings where possible.
  • Provide weekly timesheets to payroll.
  • Manage HS2 site bookings.
  • Communicate with customers to update arrivals and answer queries.
