Job Title: Profit and Asset Protection Manager - JD Group

JD Group is a leading omni-channel retailer of Sports Fashion, Outdoors, and Gyms with over 60,000 colleagues and over 3,400 stores across several retail fascias in over 30 markets around the world.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Profit and Asset Protection Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our stock movements and cycle counts across all sites. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of stock movements and cycle counts across all sites.
  • Utilize computerized stock systems and reports to achieve accurate and correct Distribution hub stock position.
  • Implement and ensure adherence to all company procedures.
  • Provide support and training for team members to enable them to achieve required standards of performance and behaviors.
  • Oversee all aspects of the 3PL sites, including retail returns, multichannel returns, supplier returns, clearance stocks, cycle count, carton audit, fascia discrepancy, inbound deliveries, none Sents, stock removals, general enquires, and monitor levels of adjustments within the DC and analyze the information to identify and report on your findings.
  • Ensure the distribution centre is fully cycle counted each QTR and analyze discrepancies reported.
  • Monitor audit trail of cartons being dispatched from the DC.
  • Trace discrepancies reported by stores.
  • Investigate discrepancies reported on 'Fast track' IBTs.
  • Report on recoveries for the business and achieve target set.
Requirements:
  • Management experience essential within a similar environment.
  • Previous Stock Control experience would be preferred but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be able to demonstrate a high level of literacy and numeracy to produce documentation and maintain a variety of accurate records.
  • Ability to prioritize work efficiently, to set and achieve measurable targets and work within budgets.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Computer literate – be able to utilize a range of Microsoft office programs.
  • Be able to communicate and operate with all levels of staff.
