Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Profit and Asset Protection Manager to join our team. As a key member of our stock control team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our stock movements and cycle counts across all sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day control of stock movements and cycle counts
  • Utilize computerized stock systems and reports to achieve accurate and correct distribution hub stock positions
  • Implement and ensure adherence to all company procedures
  • Provide support and training to team members to enable them to achieve required standards of performance and behavior
  • Oversee all aspects of 3PL sites, including retail returns, multichannel returns, supplier returns, clearance stocks, cycle count, carton audit, fascia discrepancy, inbound deliveries, none-sents, stock removals, and general inquiries
  • Monitor levels of adjustments within the DC and analyze information to identify and report on findings
  • Ensure the distribution center is fully cycle counted each quarter and analyze discrepancies reported
  • Monitor audit trail of cartons being dispatched from the DC
  • Trace discrepancies reported by stores
  • Investigate discrepancies reported on 'Fast track' IBTs
  • Report on quality or product issues to relevant departments
  • Perform audits on trader sale stock
  • Maintain relationships with traders to ensure they stay in line with JD Group's social corporate responsibilities
  • Supervise the collection of end-of-line/exit route stock
  • Ensure all retail returns are collected on schedule
  • Monitor and oversee stock destined for destruction
  • Complete weekly tests on security equipment (CCTV recordings)
  • Monitor and enforce security policies/procedures and ensure search outs are in line with company policy
  • Attend weekly/quarterly meetings with the Group Stock Manager
  • Conduct ADHOC checks on all trader pallets to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Conduct regular visits to all outdoor sites and raise/review issues and concerns
  • Report on recoveries for the business and achieve target set
Requirements
  • Management experience essential within a similar environment
  • Previous stock control experience preferred but not essential
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate high level of literacy and numeracy to produce documentation and maintain accurate records
  • Ability to prioritize work efficiently, set and achieve measurable targets, and work within budgets
  • Self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative
  • Computer literate – able to utilize range of Microsoft office programs
  • Ability to communicate and operate with all levels of staff
