About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Speech Pathologist to join our team in Melbourne's South & East regions. As a Grade 1- Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for delivering speech pathology services to adults or children with disabilities, including assessments, goal setting, and treatment planning.

You will work closely with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care for our clients. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of disability services and the ability to work effectively with people with disabilities, their families, and carers.

About You:

You will be a qualified Speech Pathologist with good interpersonal skills and the ability to develop skills in engaging people with disabilities, motivate them, and build their capability. You will be working in partnership with people with disabilities to set and achieve goals, and to work collaboratively with the person's supports, including their families.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent (i.e. Masters) in Speech Pathology.
  • Graduate or within 2 years of your clinical practice experience.
  • The ability to work within a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary team model.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with customers and their families.
  • A willingness to improve on your clinical practice – including the ability to self-reflect and a focus on developing clinical skills in areas you're not familiar with.
  • Care for the work you do and for the people you work with.
  • Competency in a variety of IT platforms.
  • Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • An Australian driver's license and own vehicle, and a willingness to travel within the region you are working in as required.

Salary Estimate:$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
