Role Overview


In this extraordinary position at Babcock International Group, you will lead the modernization of the UK MOD satellite network, Skynet.


The Key Responsibilities



  • Design radio and intermediate frequency systems architecture
  • Specify system elements and oversee equipment purchase and installation
  • Test and commission systems, and provide support to the new service design process
  • Specify, purchase, and test VSAT terminals for the delivery of new services

Requirements



  • Previous experience working with a satellite network operator
  • Current knowledge of RF and IF architecture and best design practice
  • Experience with large satellite terminals, satellite network system design, and a degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Ability to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance

Security Clearance


The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
