About the Role
We are seeking a skilled pharmacist to join our team in providing comprehensive homecare services. As a Clinical Pharmacist - Homecare Services, you will be responsible for delivering safe and effective homecare services, championing homecare services, and providing training to staff.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safe and effective homecare services in line with Royal Pharmaceutical Society Homecare standards.
- Provide training to staff on homecare services and support commissioning processes for high-cost drugs.
- Work collaboratively with senior colleagues, clinicians, and homecare teams to develop new skills and improve services.
- Provide a regular ward clinical pharmacy service as part of the multidisciplinary team through effective medicines optimisation.
About Us
Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust provides care for residents of three diverse London boroughs and provides healthcare services to people in south-west Essex and specialist neurosciences services to the whole county.
We operate from two main sites and have a range of services including emergency departments, outpatient services, and a regional Neurosciences Centre. We're proud of our regional centres, including the Radiotherapy Centre, Hyper Acute Stroke Unit, and dedicated breast care service.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Postgraduate Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice/Clinical Pharmacy (or equivalent qualification).
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist in the UK (MRPharmS).
- Comprehensive experience as a clinical pharmacist practitioner, including a solid grounding in all aspects of hospital pharmacy practice.
- Experience of working with nursing and medical staff, patients, and the public.
Desirable:
- Homecare Pharmacist experience.
- Reviewing and approving guidelines, SOP's, and Policies.
